Magnet - "Shove and Speedking are two sides of the indie-rock coin. Shove's female vocalist is occasionally off-key (in an endearing way), and the trio sounds like its having tons of fun; "JohnLyons8trackmachine" makes you want to jump up and down for all the three seconds it lasts. Speedking's "Spyking" doesn't whizz by so quickly; this trio is shooting to give you a driving, diverse, dynamic thrill, though the playing sounds loose and unpretentious." Gina Bittner

Maximum Rock & Roll - "My advice would be for you to get this right away. Both bands rock my world in a completely unique way. SHOVE has improved a millionfold since the last time I'd heard them. "JohnLyons8trackmachine" is an excellent blend of TSUNAMI's quirky dream music and BUILT TO SPILL's deconstructed pop (not to mention homage to a damn nice guy). Just whets my appetite hear more.
