Electro Group - "Line Of Sight" 7" (Omnibus)
Super noisy dream pop single with ethereal female vocals, very
similar to My Bloody Valentine or Alison's Halo. This is great, too,
because it's still very pop-oriented (meaning not too droney or
boring). The coolest part of this single, though, is its great
packaging: the record is in a cloth bag (with the band name &
songs screened on) fastened together with a badge. Be certain
to hide the top string from your kitties, though! MTQ=2/2

Electro Group: Line of Sight 7"
The guitars and noisey filters they use, remind me of my
bloody valentine. You really can't go wrong with this 7", though I
wish there were more songs, but I guess that's the point of the
7"...to get you to buy the LP when it comes out. This 7" is
packaged in a draw bag with "ELECTRO GROUP" printed on the
front and the song titles on the back. Nice and simple. Definetly
indie-pop. Definetly good.(JK)
Electro Group "Line Of Sight" 7" (Omnibus)
Oh, yeah...give it to me, baby...oooh, just the way I like it. Listening to
this band is like washing my hair with Herbal Essence: a totally...organic
experience. If you liked My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless", but kept getting
queasy while listening due to the whammy-bar overkill, this seven-inch was
made with your ears in mind. They guitars stay in tune, but all of the
classic earmarks of MBV are in place: ethereal, unintelligible male vocals,
metronomic drumming, distorted bass, jangly guitars, and a perfect blend of
melody and distortion...HEAVY ON BOTH. If these guys can come up with a
full-length as good as this single, I'll be their love slave for a week. Do
it to me over and over...
